As the Travel MDS Coordinator with WesleyLife, you will be responsible for ICD10 coding, setting and completing accurate MDS ARDs, collaborating with all clinical teams to ensure care plans are accurate and thorough, following corporate guidelines, ethical standards, and federal and state requirements. In coordination with the MDS Reimbursement Specialist they ensure that the MDS for all of WesleyLife is completed with accuracy, with attention to quality measures, while maximizing reimbursement.

You will also fulfill the functions of the community MDS position as needed during vacancies, vacations, leaves of absence, or in times of agency elimination where a leader may be working a higher than normal amount to fulfill open shifts.

Other responsibilities include:

Complete the nursing assessment and the Baseline Care Plan.
Participate on a continuing basis in the development and revision of written care plans for residents as outlined in WesleyLife nursing procedures. Ensures that documentation meets Federal, State, and Certification guidelines.
Coordinate RAI process assuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of MDS, CAA, and Comprehensive Care Plan.
Conduct the nursing process – Assessment, Diagnosis (actual or potential health problems), Planning, Implementation and Evaluation – under the state’s Nurse Practice Act for Registered Nurse Licensure.
Resident ICD10 diagnosis coding upon admission and routinely to add or remove resolved diagnosis.
Participate in oversight, review, and improvement plan of Quality Measures.

The salary range for this position will be based on years of experience.

Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of Iowa.
Ability to demonstrate computer experience in entry of MDS, CAAs, and Care Plans, as well as electronic submission of Care Plans.
