Software Engineer (SDET) - Performance/Load Tester, Zelle At Early Warning, we’ve powered and protected the U.S. financial system for over thirty years with solutions like Zelle, Paze℠, and more. Engineering at Early Warning (EWS) is organized into teams focused on various platforms, capabilities, and products, all contributing to core functionalities used by major banks, including Zelle and Paze. We focus on providing capabilities via APIs or integration points, encouraging innovation and stakeholder collaboration. Overall Purpose The Software Engineer in Test (SDET) ensures the quality and performance of large-scale API, web, and mobile applications. This role involves developing automated tests within an Agile environment to support quality and performance goals. Candidates should be experienced, proactive, and able to work collaboratively in CI environments. Essential Functions Collaborate with engineering teams to define testing requirements throughout development. Test complex API, web, and mobile applications with database integrations. Create and maintain automated tests integrated into CI/CD pipelines. Execute test suites, diagnose bugs, and ensure system quality before release. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for comprehensive end-to-end testing. Develop SDLC artifacts like test strategies, plans, cases, and reports. Manage source code with Git, track work in Jira, and document in Confluence. Participate in code reviews and support risk management and data security efforts. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. No prior experience required. Familiarity with Git, automated testing, and testing frameworks. Knowledge of CI/CD integration, SQL, and RESTful services. Excellent communication skills. Must be a U.S. citizen or national. Background and drug screening required. Preferred Qualifications Additional education or experience. Experience with Java, automation tools (Selenium, Rest-Assured, Cucumber), AWS, Spring Boot, SOAP, XML/JSON, NoSQL, Kafka, Docker/Kubernetes. FinTech experience is a plus. Compensation In Phoenix, AZ/Chicago, IL: $100,000 - $115,000/year In San Francisco, CA/New York, NY: $110,000 - $130,000/year Additional incentives and benefits available.
