Daily responsibilities for Center Directors:

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP

  1. Identifies, schedules and interviews teacher candidates; Builds networks of external future talent
  2. Conducts classroom observations, evaluations and provides feedback that motivates and encourages learning.
  3. Manages team to ensure curriculum is executed in alignment with brand standards;
  4. Uses a growth mindset to train, coach and develop for the future
  5. Listens objectively to employee concerns and plans a recommended course of action
  6. Builds and communicates weekly schedules
  7. Daily management of classroom ratios
  8. Manages new hire paperwork and all employee files in compliance with state licensing regulations
  9. Builds and communicates center schedules to ensure appropriate ratios are always intact and labor is effectively managed to budget.

CUSTOMER FOCUS

  1. Leads tour with prospective families, highlighting key features/points of difference with our curriculum, teacher tenure/quality, etc.
  2. Regularly communicates with families regarding student progress
  3. Executes “parent pleasers”
  4. Execution of our Show and Tell
  5. Regularly audits and maintains all records and files for students and teachers
  6. Ensures the physical environment and health/safety standards are full compliance with local and state licensing regulations
  7. Manages relationships with state licensors and conducts center evaluations
  8. Responsible for accident/incident reporting
  9. Medication management
  10. Conducts monthly emergency safety drills
  11. Manages new customer administration and files in compliance with state licensing regulations

Qualifications:

  1. New York State regulation Rules: Must have Certification of Education.
  2. Two or more years of center leadership/management experience highly preferred. At least one year of center leadership/management experience required.
  3. Must have Early Childhood (Birth-2) Certification
  4. Must have professional teaching experience with infant to preschool children.
  5. Bachelor’s degree in ECE or related field highly preferred.
  6. Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.
  7. CPR and First Aide Certification highly preferred.
  8. Must meet state specific guidelines for the role.
