Must be confident in core pharmacy tech duties; pharmacist will train on cleanroom and sterile compounding. Salary $19-$28/hour (negotiable based on experience) Job Responsibilities 70% of your day will focus on processing new patient referrals, verifying insurance, handling intake, and coordinating with prescribers, payers, and nursing agencies to get patients started on therapy quickly and accurately. You'll also manage patient records and authorizations, ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer requirements, and serve as a primary point of contact for patient questions and provider communications. About 30% of your role involves pharmacy fulfillment, including assisting with sterile compounding (IV antibiotics, hydration solutions, TPNs), labeling, cleanroom logs, and environmental monitoring. You'll receive, stock, and rotate inventory, coordinate outbound shipping and delivery logistics, and ensure proper packaging and documentation for all deliveries-including lifting up to 50 lbs as part of shipping coordination. You'll work closely with the pharmacist, who's ready to teach the cleanroom and sterile compounding side-so come in ready to learn, but already comfortable with core pharmacy tech responsibilities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required. National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred. Minimum 2 years' experience in pharmacy operations, intake, insurance verification, prior authorizations, patient/customer service experience in a home infusion or specialty pharmacy. Sterile compounding experience and proficiency with pharmacy software (CPR+, TherigySTM, or similar) strongly preferred, but not required. Ability to lift 50 lbs and support shipping/receiving operations. Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
